Gaëlle Bonnet is the President of the Family Law and Training Commission of the UJA Paris.

She is the winner of the 2018 Violette Gorny Prize for the best young lawyer in family law and the first runner up of the IAFL 2024 Prize for the best young international lawyer.

Her experience of living in Italy made her particularly aware of the issue of expatriation.

She has taught family law at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and regularly teaches as member of the Family Commission of the Paris Bar.

She has extensive experience of children’s relocation cases.

In particular, she advises the firm's clients on all the technical issues raised by the international nature of these situations (lis pendens, questions of international jurisdiction, application of foreign law before the French courts, exequatur, etc.).

With all the empathy required for family disputes, she endeavours to provide clients with clear explanations of the complex legal issues they encounter, so that they can approach their dispute with peace of mind.

She co-authors the France chapter of the ICLG (International Comparative Law Guide) with Diane Sussman.

She is also a member of several international networks: The International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), The International Union of Lawyers (UIA) des Avocats, the Paris Young Lawyers’ association (UJA de Paris), the National Federation of Young Lawyers (FNUJA), ITALAWYERS and CALA (Child Abduction Lawyers which is an association dedicated to Hague Cases).

She practices in French, English and Italian.
